Washing and Cleaning

The goal of industrial component cleaning is to remove unwanted contaminants, whether solid or liquid, quickly and without residue. Washing and cleaning are often performed using robots specifically configured for this type of application:

  • Faster cleaning area coverage;

  • High speed;

  • Compatibility with aggressive working environments (temperature / chemical / noise);

  • Robots can also perform deburring with high-pressure water jets and special brushes.

Flood bath injection cleaning: This involves rapidly flooding an empty container into which the robot places the components to be cleaned. As the cleaner reacts to the components, convection currents, due to thermal or mechanical movement, help loosen contamination from the metal surface.

Spray cleaning is one of the most common processes in cleaning cells. The kinetic energy of the spray jet, combined with the cleaning agent, releases dirt particles from the surface of components. Spray jet pressure is typically 6 to 8 bar, but can reach 20 to 25 bar for more demanding cleaning tasks.

Components are pre-dried through intensive air drying. Optional vacuum drying offers better results. Compressed air, convection, suitable vacuum methods, or any combination thereof are used. In the final step of the process, robots handle the components, ensuring shorter cycle times.
